Sculptures will be coming soon, made from wire and recycled cloth!

Lucinda is in the process of finding a formula that will let fabric mache last for hundreds of years. The process is quite simple and sustainable. You add salt to the mache mixture to prevent decay, and after a proper sealant and paint job, the material is very strong and versatile. Lucinda finds cloth for the sculptures at thrift store outlets, which sell recycled textiles by the pound that cannot be used as clothing anymore. Air dry clay is Lucinda's favorite material to work with, and adheres to the fabric mache strongly. The extra mache material will be sanded off to show the patterns of the fabrics, and the clay facial features painted to resemble metal. The series of sculptures are a conversation between hand made textiles, cold machinery, and what the future of humanity may look like with the rapid development of technology.
